As part of our ongoing commitment to the circular economy, Carrières de Maffle recently undertook an ambitious project in partnership with a general contractor based in Brussels. We are proud to have been entrusted with sawing no less than 300 m² of granite slabs, each 3 cm thick, and repurposing them into interior window sills.
This initiative highlights our dedication to environmental responsibility. Rather than extracting new raw materials, we chose to give existing ones a second life. With its exceptional durability and timeless appeal, granite is ideally suited for long-term use in the home.
By converting these slabs into window sills, Carrières de Maffle is helping to reduce waste and lower the carbon emissions associated with the production of new materials. At the same time, this approach enables our clients to benefit from high-quality products while actively contributing to more sustainable practices.
This project exemplifies our vision of a future where resources are used responsibly and circularity is integrated into everyday business. At Carrières de Maffle, we firmly believe that only through initiatives like this can we build a more sustainable and environmentally respectful future.
